First Die Forming and the Symmetrical Design

We had to come up with a design and go ahead with the die forming. But with there were certain exceptions and rules. And here they are:

1. If you want it to be a symmetrical design, you dont have to make the brass plates which acts as a ensurer for the die.

2. If you want it to be not symmetrical, then you need to use the brass place for precision.

To make the symmetrical design, I would use a graphing paper to to make sure that everything is completely symmetrical or use a computer... the second way would be easier. On top of that, make sure you cut the die form straight and right.

To make the asymmetrical design, the obvious thing would be... make an asymmetrical design. Then take two brass plates, super glue it together. Then saw away.  After that, cut the die. All the goodies. Brass plates on top and bottom of the die... the glass.

Always:

-File the top and bottom plates at ridge where the metal is going to be stretch. Round out the edges so the hydraulic pressing would be easier on the metal.

-Make sure that the plexie glass and the plates are the same size and everything. We do not want the plexie to break.

Problem:

-didn't like the design.

- cracked
